Here to help…

Named for her beloved German Shepherd, this one-woman gardening business was born from the desire to work and help other with their cherished spaces.

Claire has over ten years experience in the landscaping and horticulture industry working commercial landscaping, to high-end residential maintenance, to innovative and creative design+build ecological gardening. She is educated and trained in both holistic and conventional gardening practices.

Growing up in Denver, Colorado, she spent many seasons outdoors exploring the foothills and mountains of her beloved state. After moving to Vancouver to attend the University of British Columbia, she graduated with a degree in Biology, focusing on Fungi, Ecology, and Plant Sciences of the Pacific Northwest. Now a Canadian, she has fallen in love with BC and all it has to offer. Claire’s move to Vancouver Island and Port Alberni has further solidified her adoration of the rainforests, ocean, lakes and mountains and she spends many hours with her dog exploring the trails around their home and, of course, cultivating her own gardens!

Little Shepherd echoes the stewardship we must nurture caring for our homes, lands and resources. Tending a garden is an important part of the human experience and Claire can help facilitate that for you!

Little Shepherd works in the territories of the Hupacasath and Tseshaht first nations.
